Hello and Welcome!

Hi everyone and welcome to my new blog!

I'm excited to share my handmade crafts with you and to find out where this blog will lead me in the future.  I'm hoping to make lots of new internet friends via this blog and I'll then be able to visit you too!

If you like what you see please leave me a comment, it will spur me on to make more goodies!

Hope Christmas was kind to you and that you thoroughly enjoyed yourselves.  I know I did, sharing it with those I love and having a really good laugh in the process, nothing beats it.

I never make new year resolutions, but I've already thought of some 'crafting' ones says she full of detemination:-
  • to make one Christmas card every week (pah! bet that's the first to go by-the-by!), but if I stick to it I'll have a grand stock of 52 cards by the end of the year!
  • to not just gaze lovingly and stroke my craft stash, but to use it woman!  I will! I will!
  • craft more often
  • to re-organise my stash -yukky job I know. Maybe this should be at the top of the list?!
I'm stopping now as this list could get a mind of it's own and easily keep on going...!

So here's a little taste of what I've made recently:-

Starting with a plain Kilner Jar full of chocolates (although you could fill any clean jar with anything of your choosing)

I decorated it with BoBunny Tis The Season 'Treasure' paper. I hand cut out xmas trees from BoBunny Tis the Season 'Deck The Halls' paper and used 3D foam pads to stick them on. Ribbon from stash and produced this effect:-
Those of you with sharp eyesight (or a very sweet tooth!) will have spotted this jar has something other than chocolates in it!  This one was for someone who has mountains of chocolate, so they were substituted with jelly sweets.

For this second jar I used SandyLion Let It Snow paper, layered with red and white polkadot BoBunny reverse side of Tis the Season 'Snow Flakes'. I hand cut out Let It Snow snowflakes and attached with 3D foam pads for dimension. Ribbon from own stash to create this effect:-

These are ideal as spot prizes for party games or stocking fillers!

Hope you've enjoyed this intro to my new blog and that you'll become a "Follower" to keep updated with my new posts as we go along.  Please let me know you've been here by leaving a comment - I'd love to know what you think of what I've made.

Keep popping in,
Ellie Maggie x
